Nothing is purely physical or purely psychological: everything is connected through the nervous system. This intricate web of nerves and neurons is the link between our mind and body, creating a very real connection between thought, movement, emotion, and sensation.
In Tune is founded on our study and practice of working with the nervous system. Through this lens, we use movement and physical therapy to resolve complex and chronic pain, develop a holistic movement practice, and create lasting and meaningful change in the body.
THE IN TUNE APPROACH
A movement practice is about learning how to speak the language of the body. By making movement part of our daily lives, we are able to use movement both therapeutically and expressively.
The In Tune approach starts with combining a thorough movement assessment with a holistic account of your body’s story—your medical and injury history, athletic background, hobbies and lifestyle, and nutrition—to form a movement practice that is unique to your needs.
In my work as a physical therapist and trainer, I integrate an evidence-based understanding of neurophysiology, biomechanics, pain science, and motor learning to help people resolve complex musculoskeletal pain and improve their physical health through movement.
I also provide mentorship for other therapists and trainers who want to learn how to integrate pain science and biomechanics to achieve better results with their clients.
MADE TO MOVE
FOR YOU, FOR OTHERS, AND FOR THE PLANET
We are all connected. The idea for In Tune Apparel started when I realized just how deeply the clothing industry affects our individual, collective, and environmental health.
It starts with making clothing that is good for you. I found manufacturers that adhere to the strictest health standards, including GOTS and Oeko-Tex certifications, making sure that our garments are free from any toxic or harmful chemicals.
The next step was making clothing that is good for others. Our manufacturers are fair trade certified in Peru and Pakistan, providing safe working conditions and fair wages to their workers.
The last step was making clothing that is good for the planet. Our garments are made with high quality, long-lasting natural materials and are meant to be worn and loved for years. Plus, our organic and nontoxic certifications mean that we avoid the use of harmful chemicals during the farming and manufacturing processes.
This is clothing that aligns with our mission to help people create deeper connections with self, others, and the world around us.
